The countdown has started...

But first a review of yesterday...
actually Almuth, Aleks and me wanted to meet in a cafe to point out all the tasks coming up to us. But first we had to get the signature of our chief for the application for the Foundation of German-Polish collaboration so we all went to the Medienkulturzentrum. Without any guess our secretary came to me and gave me a letter with the words:"That's the grant office from the city of Dresden." I looked at it and started screaming...we couldn't believe, we got the support from the department of Public Relation of the city of Dresden for CityTracks...yieahhaw!
Totally delighted we then continued our meeting in a cafe with view on the Elbe - this day went out perfectly after having had such stressful weeks behind us. It won't get better but now we are even more motivated.

And today I finally posted our application for the foundation...the countdown has started, at the latest in six weeks we will know if all our energy is pays off and we can realise CityTracks...so let's all hope and we'll neither way rock on...

Finally we made it...

We - Aleks, Almuth and me - are the three organisers of CityTracks in Dresden. Last tuesday we were to Wrocław meeting our partners of Semper Avanti. We went by train on the new track which goes directly from Dresden to Wrocław in only 3,5 hours. And here is our first diary entry...
  • 6.00: alarm clock is ringing - forward to Wrocław yeahaw!
  • 7.15: meet the others at train station Dresden-Neustadt
  • 7.32: here we come Wrocław! (p.s. we hope everything will go out fine after we had a lot of topsy-turvy with finding a Polish partner)
  • 11.00: end station Wrocław, waiting for the Semper Avantis...who of those guys could be Marcin?
  • 11.20: meeting Marcin and Anna - there is immediately smypathy on both sides
  • 12:00: a short sightseeing tour through Wrocław, having delicious lunch with pierogies and pancakes and getting to know each other
  • 13:30: going to office of Semper Avanti figuring things out with organisation, time and financial plans
  • 16:00: yeah! we can't believe it...cooperation contract is signed and now we can relax.
  • 17:00: having a drink and some food
  • 00:00: falling tired into our sleeping bags...yaaawn!
The next morning we went back to Semper Avanti getting the last things done and then went back home after only 26 hours being in Poland.
We were totally delighted and so the two hours delay of our train didn't stress us too much.
