preparation weekend in Görlitz/Zgorzelec

It was great weather and we all had our bikes with us when we met for preparing the MediaRallye in Görlitz/Zgorzelec last weekend. On Friday we got to know each other because Maciek joined us who will be our final contact person from Semper Avanti.
Saturday morning wake up call, a good breakfast and off to discovering the cities by bike. We took a lot of coordinates, our brain was working all the time and in the afternoon we had collected lots and lots of impressions.

On Sunday we met a city guide who filled us with some more information we didn't know yet. And then we started structuring all these ideas for getting an overview of what we could do with our participants...we don't want to reveal too much but you will have a lot of fun on our MediaRallye through Görlitz/Zgorzelec with action, tricky riddles and adventure =)

  1. Very nice project - good luck and a lot of fun!
Actually, as you already use GPS, you might find
    http://www.openstreetmap.org interesting
(a free wiki map for the world).
Dresden is very well mapped by now, and Goerlitz
    also looks pretty good:

Still, I am certain you will come across things and areas which are not yet covered so that your contributions would be very welcome!
Also it might be interesting for you that the maps from openstreetmap can put onto Garmin GPS devices (those which support maps), see http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Computerteddy and you can also embed openstreetmap maps into your blog.
(By the way, somehow your embedded google map for Dresden points to San Francisco...).
